The name of this blog has two words, and each was chosen deliberately.
Pocket – We all know that small things are cute, and big things are epic. I would argue that small things can be epic too. If you take something immense, say Mt. Ranier for example, and you shrink it down to fit in the palm of your hand, would its essence be altered? No. It would be much more dense, true, but it would still retain its complexity, depth, and vastness – even if you could then carry it around in your pocket.
Reflections – Look, capital-B Beauty is transcendent. It transcends all human notions of time and space. That said, it is simply a reflection of the inner beauty of the beholder. Have you never met someone that was ugly on the inside and found ugliness everywhere they looked? It’s the same with beauty; game recognizes game, as the saying goes.
